Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal communities in the rhizosphere of a continuous cropping soybean system at the seedling stage BJM

Abstract Arbuscular mycorrhizae (AM) fungi play a crucial role in the growth of soybean; however, the planting system employed is thought to have an effect on AM fungal communities in the rhizosphere. This study was performed to explore the influence of continuous soybean cropping on the diversity of Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi, and to identify the dominant AM fungus during the seedling stage. Three soybean cultivars were planted under two and three years continuous cropping, respectively. A exploração da pecuária de leite e carne no Estado, tem como suporte a utilização de pastagens nativas e cultivadas (Colonião, Jaraguã e Brachiaria decumbens). A baixa produtividade da pecuária acreana é decorrente da descontinuidade da produção de forragem durante o ano em interação com outrus fatores, tais como: a ocorrência de pragas, doenças e manejo inadequado. Nos ú1timos anos a gramínea Brachiaria decumbens tem sido muito utilizada na formação de pastagens. A formação de ecossistemas homogêneos de pastagens cultivadas na Amazônia, com a predominância de uma espécie de gramínea forrageira, tem favorecido a ocorrência de pragas e doenças que afetam a produtividade e a sustentabilidade dos sistemas de produção pecuários tradicionais. Este estudo teve o objetivo de avaliar a produtividade e a taxa de acúmulo de forragem de gramíneas e leguminosas em pastagens formadas com as gramíneas Panicum maximum cv. Colonião, Tobiatã, Massai e BRA-006670 e as leguminosas amnedoim forrageiro (Arachis pintoiu BRA-031143 e Arachis glabrata cv. Arbrook) e puerária (Pueraria phaseoloides) em estandes puros e consorciados.

The effect of climate change may influence the intensity and severity in some rice diseases, particularly in continuous-cultivation irrigated areas. To study the outbreak of rice diseases in relation to climate change, the experiment using Split-plot in RCB design having 3 replicates was conducted at Phatthalung Rice Research Center during October 2010 to December 2012. This study was carried out in the continuous irrigated rice cropping system during 2011-2013 by 8 rice research centers and Bureau of Rice Research and Development. Disease assessments were also conducted in the farmers’ fields in 16 provinces responsible by participating offices in the Upper and Lower North, Central, East and South of Thailand. The main objective was to investigate the relationship between meteorological data and disease epidemics through field survey and carry out experiment on continuous rice cultivation by sowing popular rice variety every month.
